The Flag

The flag of Hikari is blue with mark. Previous flag was used before 2004, and I improved that flag (I hope so.)

The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Oct 4th 2004 by Notice No1 and 2. The blue flag has a white city emblem in the center. The city emblem is a stylized kanji 光 Hikari. It represents a closeness of the citizen and an uplifting feeling. The flag proportion is 2: 3.
