Local Council Majd Al-Kurum (meaning glory of the vineyards in Arabic) is situated in Biq'at Bet ha'Kerem (Vinyard House Valley) on Acre-Zefat road (road 85), 3 km NW to Karmi'el and 17 km east to Acre. A Local Council since 1964 with 10'000 inh., most of them Muslims. In my visit I spotted a white flag with yellow emblem; the reverse is plain white. The municipal emblem was published in the official gazette (Rashumot), 'Publications Gazette' section (Yalkut HaPirsumim), YP 2863, 4 November 1982.

According to the list of united or dissolved local authorities published in the official gazette (Rashumot), section Sefer HaHukim 1897, 5 August 2003, Local Council Majd Al-Kurum has been united with Local Councils Bine and Deir Al-Asad to form a new Local Council whose name has not yet been determined.The Local Council's symbols are now obsolete.
